Eoin Molyneux – Bio
Eoin Molyneux is an acoustic singer-songwriter based on the Isle of Man, whose journey into music began at a young age, finding it as a form of escape and expression after losing his dad at just seven years old. Since then, music has remained a constant and defining part of his life.
During his school years, Eoin performed in bands including A Shot To The Head and Innuendo, before forming Limited Edition in college. It was around this time that he also began performing solo and started writing his own material, developing the melodic, heartfelt style that continues to shape his music today.
He later studied Music and Music Technology at the University of Chichester, where he performed across Brighton, Chichester, and Emsworth. During this time, he also had the opportunity to headline a festival — a standout moment in his early career.
After returning to the Isle of Man, Eoin gradually re-established himself on the local scene. In 2019, he released his debut EP, Heavenly Highway Hymns, inspired by the book that helped Johnny Cash first learn shaped-note singing. The release marked a turning point, leading to more regular live performances.
Following the lockdown period in 2020, Eoin became a familiar face on the island’s live music circuit, performing regularly and continuing to refine his craft in front of audiences week in, week out. Since then, he has supported well-known acts including Toploader and Terrorvision, further establishing himself as a trusted live performer.
With a repertoire of over 12 hours of music spanning from the 1950s to the present day, Eoin performs across a wide range of styles to suit any setting. From busking on street corners to weddings, birthday parties, and packed local venues, he brings the same energy and connection to every performance, adapting seamlessly to each audience.
In 2023, he released his first full-length album, The Long Road Home, and undertook a 12-hour non-stop performance in support of Isle Listen, raising awareness for mental health on the island.
Continuing his commitment to using music for good causes, in 2025 he completed another 12-hour performance, this time supporting Hospice Isle of Man.
Alongside performing, Eoin continues to write and develop his own original music, blending it into his live sets and evolving his sound with each performance.
Today, he remains a regular performer across the Isle of Man, known for his engaging acoustic sets that combine well-loved covers with original songs, delivered with honesty, warmth, and a genuine love for live music.
